When you need to create a conversion factor, you can break down the units to their basics and create the conversion factor from that.

pound/cubic foot to gram/milliliter
pound to gram/cubic foot to milliliter

1 pound = 453.59237 gram
1 cubic foot = 28,316.8467117 milliliter

453.59237/28,316.8467117 = 0.01601846

1 pound/cubic foot = 0.01601846 gram/milliliter

For your example:
9.75 lb/ft³ * 0.01601846 = 0.156179985 g/mL
