Celsius=5/9 (f-32)             Fahrenheit=9/5C+32

wouldnt it make more sense if it was....

Celsius=F(9/5)+32            Fahrenheit=C-32(5/9)

1F equals 5/9 C, but first you must adjust the zero point, by subtracting 32 from F. As the zero point of C is already 0 you do nothing to it.

C = (F - 32) * 5/9

The other way is similiar. 1 C equals 9/5 F, but you need to adjust the zero point. C is already 0, so you do nothing, just need to add 32 to F.

F = (C * 9/5) + 32
