I need to convert 30 kg/ha (26.7 lbs/acre) to g per meter squared

I figured it out, 30 kg/ha = 3 g/meter squared

I will go ahead and work it out so others will know, in case they search the forum for it. :)

When you need the conversion factor for an unknown unit, you create a formula using the conversion factors for the base units.

1 kilogram = 1,000 gram
1 hectare = 10,000 square meter

So, now we create the conversion factor:
kilogram/hectare * 1,000/10,000 = gram/square meter
kilogram/hectare * 0.1 = gram/square meter

The conversion factor is 0.1

30 kg/ha * 0.1 = 3 g/m[sup]2[/sup]
