Dialing Prefixes for International Calls

Dialing Prefixes for International Calls
by Ted Striker on 02/20/05 at 21:24:13

Hi there,

I love your site, but when I first found it there was a page that let you enter a telephone number, and depending on where you were calling from (international), it would tell you the prefix.

My problem is that I want someone in Kazan, Russia to call me here in the southern Philippines.  Your site had "8210" I think as the Kazan prefix to dial internationally, but it does not take into account the country code for PI, 63.

What a fabulous site...keep up the great work!

ted

Can you help me connect to my Russian princess?

I found this site here:
http://kropla.com/dialcode.htm

It lists both the IDD and the Country code.

The IDD number is the number that must be dialed on the "From" country to get an international line, while the Country code is the number that must be dialed to reach the "To" Country.

In your case you need the "From" IDD of Russia and the "To" Country code of Philippines. It would be:
8~10 +63

I have added this to my to-do list. I will try and research the topic soon. I do not know much about international calling codes, but I hope to soon.
