It'd be great to have a fractions to decimals convertor.

One Half may be 0.5 but what is One Fortieth? What is Seven Twelveths? I don't even know where to start anymore, school is a but a distant memory.

It is fairly easy to write a script for converting from fractions to decimal, but a bit more difficult for a script to convert from decimal to fractions.

But I am working on both, as they are one of the most requested conversions. I will move it higher up on my to-do list.

I was looking for a decimal to fraction chart which you had, thank you, when I noticed an intresting question about converting decimal feet on blueprints to feet and inches. You are correct in saying that there is no formula for this, but as civil plans are all in decimals I,ll show you how I do it in the field. you have a grade or measurement of 41.25 .  divide 41 by 12 which gives you 3.66666 or 3 ' . 3"=36" subtract 36 from 41 which gives you 5. so 41=3'5" and .25 is 1/4 thus 41.25 =3'5 1/4" the same works in reverse. 3'5'' 1/4= 3x12=36+5=41and 1/4=.25 thus 41.25
I hope this will help someone out if they do not have a computer or calulator handy that does it for them
Hasta ,Ray
