Square meters into Yards

I am trying to convert square meters into yards.  I know that you cannot convert SQM into yards because SQM is an area, but I was not sure where to then start.

Could you provide more information as to exactly what you are trying to convert?

If the yards is something like rolls of cloth, then its just an abbreviation for square yards.  You can convert between square meters and square yards on the area conversion page.

Often times many U.S. industries abbreviate. Such as sand is sold in yards, but its cubic yards. etc.
