Hello,
Can anyone provide a formula to convert lineal feet into diameter in inches ?
For instance 2,700 LM of paper would equal to a roll of how many diameters in inches ?
Thanks for the help,
Chris

That has been asked before, but I was never able to hunt down the formulas for doing it. Hopefully somebody else will be able to help.
P.S. I believe the term you are looking for is linear feet. The term lineal refers to a line of ancestry, while the term linear refers to a straight line.

Linear Feet per Roll =
Diameter X Diameter - core x .06545 / caliper
Example
.018 SBS 24" Roll with 53" left
53 x 53 = 2809
2809 - (12"*12") = 2665
We have 12" cores
2665 x .06545 = 174.42
174.42 / .018 = 9690 Linear Feet
We use a paper material called rollstock. When we have part of the roll left over this is the formula to convert inches to LF
