1/8 to 8.5" + ?

I'm a typesetter and have never understood how to read a ruler. I need to add an 1/8 of an inch to an 8.5 sheet of paper. The 1/8 is for a bleed. How do I get to this in decimals?

Actually all you need to do is divide using your calculator.

1 / 8 = 0.125
