Can't find a conversion???
by Nic on 11/08/05 at 08:42:43

Hello,

I'm trying to work out an analtte binding capacity by dividing my analyte molecular weight (of 15000da) by my ligand molecular weight (25086g/mol).

I'm having trouble figuring out how to convert the g/mol to Da.

Does anyone know how to work this out??

Cheers!

Well I am quite rusty at chemistry, but perhaps I can give you ideas to help your searching.

1 mole =  Avogadro's number
1 atomic mass unit = 1/Avogadro's number

Da is the symbolf for the Dalton, which is another name for the atomic mass unit.
