Natural gas usage

Natural gas usage
by Scott Colf on 11/21/05 at 22:06:02

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I have a furnace, (new) that has an 88k btu input tag. I have an hour meter hooked to the gas valve and would like to know how many CCF or CF of natural gas it would use in 1 hour??
Thanks!
Scott

88,000 Btu is approximately 0.88 CCF of natural gas

Gas companies use CCF because 1 CCF of natural gas is approximately 1 therm, so 0.88 CCF would be 0.88 therm. (though you didn't ask to know that)
